Goo Goo Dolls Biography and Event Details

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, the Goo Goo Dolls grew from punk and alternative beginnings into one of pop rock's enduring acts. Singer and guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist Robby Takac have guided the band through a career spanning more than a dozen studio albums, balancing guitar-driven songs with emotionally direct writing.

The group's 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl brought major commercial success, with enduring hits including “Iris,” “Slide” and “Black Balloon.” “Iris,” featured in the film City of Angels, became a defining radio hit and a signature live singalong. Other notable releases include A Boy Named Goo, featuring “Name,” and Gutterflower, which includes “Here Is Gone” and “Big Machine.” The band's more recent album Chaos in Bloom arrived in 2022.

This Delta Center appearance is part of a shared bill with Def Leppard and The Struts. The supplied event details do not identify a specific tour name or set times. Goo Goo Dolls performances are known for energetic rock arrangements and the emotional pull of familiar songs, with “Iris” often providing a memorable communal moment.

Venue and Seating Information

For a seated concert view, lower-bowl sections near the center are a strong choice; floor or pit tickets may offer a closer, more immersive experience when configured for general admission.
